NOSE AESTHETICS / RHINOPLASTY

The nose is the character of the face! The size and shape of the nose has a huge impact on the overall appearance of the face. The goal in rhinoplasty is to ensure that the nose is beautiful and in harmony with the face. Rhinoplasty is an operation that requires high concentration and precision.

What is Nose Aesthetic Surgery?

With rhinoplasty surgery, deformities in the nose can be corrected and an aesthetic appearance can be obtained, while breathing problems can be corrected. In some noses, it is necessary to reduce the excess of the belt; some may need a hollow nose to be raised, or some noses may be too long while others may be too short. The aim is to obtain a nose that looks natural and compatible with the person’s chin, eyes and cheeks.

What are the Types of Nose Aesthetic Surgery?

Closed Nose Aesthetic Surgery

In closed rhinoplasty, incisions are made inside the nostrils. In the closed technique, the surgeon’s angle of view is less, but with the developing techniques, the situation inside the nose is viewed with cameras. The advantages of closed rhinoplasty are that there is no visible scar after the operation and the recovery time is relatively shorter compared to open rhinoplasty.

Open Nose Aesthetic Surgery

In open rhinoplasty, a small incision is made under the nostril, between the nostrils. With this approach, it is easy for the plastic surgeon to see the septum of the nose and reach the nasal structure, and this provides great convenience to the surgeon. Since the incision is not inside, there is a slight possibility of scarring, but the suture scars will lose their clarity during the healing process. The duration of open rhinoplasty surgery is approximately two hours.

BREAST AESTHETICS

BREAST AUGMENTATION

Having beautiful and shaped breasts is undoubtedly something that many women desire. For this reason, many women prefer breast augmentation today.

Who can have breast augmentation?

For those with small breasts from puberty

People who have lost a lot of weight after pregnancy or

For those who have lost their breasts as a result of breast cancer

In congenital diseases, people with no breasts, small or asymmetrical

For guests who are uncomfortable with their breast size and want to have larger breasts, surgery is performed for more symmetrical, voluminous, fuller and upright breasts.

What are the Types of Silicone Breast Prosthesis?

Breast augmentation can be performed with breast prostheses or with fat injection. Breast prostheses are divided into saline and silicone prostheses. Prostheses are also produced in many different sizes, shapes and textures.

Prostheses filled with silicone gel are usually placed under the chest muscle to enlarge the breast. Silicone prostheses are considered safe and are generally preferred for their natural feel. As a polymer, this silicone is more solid and less fluid than salt water. Most women prefer this type of prosthesis because this material acts and feels like natural breast tissue.

Can people who had breast augmentation surgery breastfeed?

This question is one of the most frequently asked questions by women. For this reason, many young women who have not become mothers hesitate to have breast augmentation surgery. However, studies have shown that the applied prosthesis does not interfere with breastfeeding.

How is breast augmentation surgery done?

The operation takes 1-2 hours. The patient is discharged on the same day or after staying in the hospital overnight. Silicone prostheses are placed on the breast with 3 methods, sub-muscular (pectoralis major muscle), supramuscular or both sub-muscular and supramuscular (Dual plane) according to the place of placement on the breast. The prosthesis is most often placed in the inframammary fold, less often around the nipple, armpit or navel area. Very slight breast sagging is also eliminated with breast augmentation surgeries. However, it is useful to include breast lift surgeries in moderate and advanced sagging.

BREAST REDUCTION

Most of the patients who apply with the complaint of breast size need breast reduction surgery due to health problems beyond aesthetic concerns.

Especially at young ages, breast size also causes the person to face psychological problems. Breast size also affects the skeletal system. The weight of the breasts forces the body forward and triggers disorders such as neck hernia, hunching in the back, and loss of strength due to nerve compression in the arms. With osteoporosis, this pressure on the skeletal system increases. The solution to these problems is usually surgery and a breast reduction operation is required.

How is the surgery done?

It is aimed to achieve maximum shape formation with the least surgical scar. Therefore, pre-operative breast measurements and drawings should be well planned. This stage is at least as important as the surgery for the surgical result to be achieved. In breast reduction surgeries, not only reduction, but also lifting and lifting operations are performed. In addition, if the size of the nipple called areola is large, it is possible to reduce it and shape it.

Although it varies from person to person in breast reduction surgeries, scars are seen in the bra area or under the bikini. Depending on the surgical technique and the degree of reduction of the breast, these scars stand out as inverted T, J or L-shaped scars around the nipple-areola and towards the inframammary fold area. These scars, which are prominent and red in the first months, become less noticeable in the future. Although the duration of the operation varies depending on the size of the breast and the techniques applied, it takes around 2-4 hours.

GYNECOMASTIA

Gynecomastia; It can be defined as female type breast enlargement in men due to genetic problems, hormone disorders, liver disorders, cancer, alcohol addiction, continuous drug use and excessive weight. Gynecomastia can be caused by an abnormal increase of fat or breast tissue in the chest area, or it can occur with the increase of both.

Gynecomastia surgery can be defined as liposuction or surgical removal of excess tissues in the breast area, which creates an uncomfortable appearance and reduces the self-confidence and life motivation of men. It is not possible to correct the gynecomastia problem with sports or diet. Thanks to gynecomastia surgery, men can have an aesthetic body that they do not feel obliged to hide in a safe, comfortable and most importantly, healthy way.

How is gynecomastia surgery performed?

The plastic surgeon first makes a consultation and determines which method to use in gynecomastia surgery according to the nature of the growth in the breast. The gynecomastia operation, which is performed under general anesthesia in the operating room environment, is completed in approximately 1-2 hours. Liposuction technique is applied in gynecomastia caused by adipose tissue. In this technique, fats are broken down, melted by ultrasonic sound waves, and thrown out of the body by vacuum method. 3-4 millimeter incision is made in the treated area to remove the liquefied fat from the body, and vacuuming is performed with the help of a cannula (thin tube). Since the incisions made for the cannulas are millimetric, no scars are left on the skin after the application.

FACIAL AESTHETICS

FACE LIFT

Due to advancing age, gravity, stress, smoking, drinking, malnutrition, the effect of sun rays, etc., sagging in the face area, under-eye bags, deep wrinkles on the face are seen. In advancing age, the soft tissue on the face decreases and hangs down over the facial bones with the effect of gravity. It is possible to describe this situation as the fact that the skin of the face begins to appear abundantly on the face. The purpose of facelift surgeries is to eliminate this abundance and create a more tense and lively skin. With facelift surgery, the sagging excess on the facial skin is removed, the thin muscle layer under the skin is reshaped and stretched.

How are face-lift surgeries performed?

The purpose of facial rejuvenation surgeries; It is to hang the sagging and loosened skin tissues in different parts of the face in their original places and to tighten the skin by removing the excess sagging skin.

In facelift surgery, scars are hidden in the scalp in the temple area, in the natural folds in front of and behind the ear. Since the surgical scars are hidden, they are not very obvious. Performing applications such as eyelid surgeries, skin peeling, filling – botox in combination with face lift surgeries also increase success.

NECK LIFT

Neck lift surgeries are applied for the treatment of problems such as wrinkles, sagging, thickening, displacement, which increase with aging in the neck area.

The effect of gravity on skin, tissue and muscles causes visible sagging and changes in the neck. Arch-shaped folds are formed on the neck, fat is collected under the tickle. With the changes in the face, a noticeable change is observed in the appearance of the person.

In neck and lower face lift procedures, an incision is made sometimes in front and behind the ear and sometimes under the chin. The skin of the face and neck remains free. Excess skin is removed. If necessary, fat is removed from the jowl and under the chin area with liposuction. It is usually planned in combination with a face lift and a neck lift. These surgeries are usually performed with general anesthesia. As in any surgery, scars remain, but it does not attract attention because it is made under the chin, behind the sideburns, and in front of and behind the ears.

EAR AESTHETICS (OTOPLASTY)

Although aesthetic problems in the ears do not cause any health problems, they seriously affect people’s lives in terms of motivation and self-confidence. This disturbing condition, which causes the person’s ears to appear more than normal when viewed from the front, and which is popularly known as “scoop ears”, reflects negatively on the psychology of the person. The main problem in prominent ears is not that the ear is larger than normal, but that the cartilage part, which should be parallel to the head, is at a right angle and has almost no curve. Prominent ear surgery (otoplasty) is a surgical operation that allows the cartilage to be reshaped and repositioned backwards in order to eliminate this problem caused by genetic reasons.

How is ear aesthetic surgery performed?

In the surgery, a small incision is made behind the ear first. By entering from here, ear folds are formed with surgical threads and cartilage tissue is shaped. If the cartilage tissue is larger than it should be, the excess parts are removed.

Prominent ear surgery is completed in approximately 1-1.5 hours. After the operation, the person is discharged on the same day. Bandages are removed 3-4 days after the operation; Since dissolving stitches are used, the stitches do not need to be removed.

EYELID AESTHETIC (BLEPHROPLASTY)

A healthy eye and eye area are areas that show the person young, dynamic and lively. Excess skin and lubrication on the upper eyelid, bags, pits and lines on the lower eyelid are the leading complaints about the eyelid. People who experience these complaints have a tired, old, sad, restless facial expression. For this reason, they may be exposed to the questions of the people around them and their self-confidence and social life may be affected.

How are eyelid surgeries performed?

Eyelid surgeries, also known as blepharoplasty, can be performed separately with upper and lower eyelid surgeries, or it can be preferred to be performed together with eyebrow lifting, forehead lift and mid-face rejuvenation interventions. However, it is possible to apply botox and filler applications for the eyelid area in addition to these surgeries.

Eyelid surgeries can be performed with general anesthesia or with local anesthesia.

Aesthetic eyelid surgeries are divided into 2 as upper and lower eyelid surgery:

  1. Aesthetic upper eyelid surgeries

In aesthetic upper eyelid surgery, it is possible to remove fat bags along with the excess skin on the upper eyelid.

  1. Aesthetic lower eyelid surgeries

In aesthetic lower eyelid surgery, excess skin and fat bags are removed. However, when there are additional pits with bagging, the fat bags are removed to some extent. The remainder is used to fill these pits. In this way, pitting is corrected along with bagging.

LIP AESTHETICS

In some people, the lip structure may be thin, or a decrease in lip thickness may occur with the decrease in the amount of fat tissue in the lip with aging. For the purpose of lip thickening, there are many interventions that can be made depending on the problem and age of the person.

  • Thickening of the lip using permanent materials taken from the body
  • Thickening of the lip using fillers
  • Surgical procedures that advance the lip mucosa (red part)

BODY AESTHETIC

LIPOSUCTION

Liposuction is a method of removing excess fat tissues in some parts of the body by vacuum method and obtaining smoother body lines. In this way, the fat in the areas where these stubborn fat accumulations are removed, gives the body a more proportional appearance.

Contrary to popular belief, liposuction is not a weight loss surgery, it is a contour correction surgery. Abdomen, waist, hips, hips, knees, ankles, arms, breast, face, jowl are the areas where fat can be removed by liposuction.

Liposuction surgery is surgery performed with vacuum devices using cannulas of different sizes. Since mm incisions are made in the size that these cannulas can enter, there are no obvious scars.

There are techniques such as laser liposuction, Vaser liposuction, ultrasound assisted liposuction, wet (liquid giving) and dry liposuction. In our hospital, Vaser Liposuction is preferred among these methods and applied to our patients.

TUMMY TUCK

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

It is possible to see excess weight gain and loss, hormonal conditions, lubrication in the abdomen after previous pregnancies, sagging of the skin, formation of skin cracks and laxity of the abdominal muscles. In these cases, tummy tuck surgery is applied.

Before deciding on tummy tuck surgery, if the patient is overweight, it is recommended to lose weight and reduce to the ideal weight. Since the abdominal skin thickness is high in overweight patients, it is not easy to achieve as good results as in normal weight patients. Therefore, diet and exercise are recommended first. Patients who come for sagging after losing weight with exercise and diet are among the most suitable patient group.

Usually, liposuction surgery is added to the tummy tuck process. This provides a better appearance.

ARM AND THIGH LIFT

It is possible to see sagging and cracks in the arms and legs after excessive weight gain and loss in the arm and leg area, sagging as a result of decreased elasticity of the skin in advanced ages or due to genetic predisposition at earlier ages.

Conditions such as loosening and reduction of the subcutaneous support tissue in the arms and legs, excessive and inappropriate accumulation of adipose tissue may cause the need for this surgery on the arms and legs. With arm and leg stretching, you can have more tense, younger looking arms and legs.

BUTT LIF (Gluteal Augmentation)

There are various techniques in butt lift-lift operations. Fat injection, prosthesis, filler injection can be used during the procedure. Patients with volume loss can also be treated with a natural prosthesis created from their own body. Usually, fat is taken from the hip area and given to the butt area. Butt lift and butt lift surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesia. The operation takes up to 2 hours.

In incision operations, the butt is surgically pulled up and a flap prepared from the body is used. This acts as a natural prosthesis. This method is mostly used in older patients.

VAGINOPLASTY (Genital Aesthetics)

Vaginoplasty; It is the name given to the procedure to eliminate the loosening and loss of elasticity in the vagina due to reasons such as age, giving birth, gynecological interventions. It is also known by different names such as vaginal tightening, vaginal tightening, vagina correction surgery.

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and the operation time is approximately 1 hour. There is no visible scar in the genital area. Vaginoplasty procedures performed by experts and experienced people are not painful. It will be healthy not to have a period during the operation period. In addition to vaginoplasty, labiaplasty (inner lip aesthetics) can also be applied.

What is Labiaplasty (Inner Lip Aesthetics)?

Labiaplasty is the process of reducing and shortening the inner lips. The prolapse of the inner lips visually disturbs women and can lead to aesthetic concerns. In addition, drooping inner lips can cause pain during sexual intercourse and problems in urination. Labiaplasty plays a major role in preventing such problems and restoring the aesthetic appearance.
